Love parades? Head to Los Angeles by Loyola Marymont University for floats, marching band and holiday merriment are all part of the annual parade that has a lovely small town vibe to it. Besides honoring America's birthday this year's parade will also be celebrating Westchester's 75th anniversary.

Best way to celebrate any holiday is to be activity with the family. Going outside and being activity together also teaches children to be healthier. One way this 4th of July you can celebrate outdoors is by biking together. You can get with your little ones and decorate your bikes and be part of the pedal-powered holiday parade.

Kids can also participate in many activities:

New this year is a 5K run/walk for all ages at 8:00 a.m. and a kids 1/2-mile run at 9:15 a.m. (entry fees for the runs are $25 adults and $15 kids).
Kids patriotic speech contest 9:30 am (free register on-site)
Kids patriotic costume contest 9:30 am (free register on-site)
Bike parade, all ages, 10:00 am (free)

This is a great way to go outside, enjoy the great California weather and be active. On top of it all this event is FREE.
