Shopping With Kids

Do you enjoy shopping?
Do you have shop therapy at least ones a week?
Do you love trying on those short skirts?
Do you find peace and relax from your long day/week when shopping?

Before Alexander (my 1 year old) I would have answered yes to the above questions but now....

OMG!!!! NO

Have you ever tired going shopping with a 1 year old. Especially a 1 year old that walks. Where do I start. He wont stay in his stroller, he wont stay in the cart, he wont let me carry him.... all he wants to do is walk walk walk and mess everything up and then out of no where he decides to find the dirtiest part of the floor and start to crawl. REALLY!!!??!!

So now you ask me... do I enjoy shopping?

Even the most basic thing takes so long to do and so much energy is spend that I am tired and need a nap before we even leave the house.

So what I have started to do is shop online.... oh what and how did our parents do it back then when everything wasn't at the tip of our fingers.

You can get everything delivered to you from food to groceries to medication and in an hour not days.

A few things that I do to save me from going crazy is I get my diapers and my wipes all delivered to me monthly threw Amazon. Especially if you have Prime, shipping is free and when you subscribe to have it delivered monthly... guess what you get a discount.

SCORE!!!

Can you find a better deal somewhere else for diapers and wipes..... yes you probably can but just think about it... you don't have to go to the store with a baby/toddler and then on top of that have to worry about carrying a big box of diapers. There are carts you can put it in but trust me it is never a fun experience trying to make sure your little one stays put, doesn't run of far, is safe and that you don't drop this big heavy box.

So yes I get even diapers delivered to my front door. I get anything and everything that I can to have it delivered. You are probably thinking this mom never leaves the house but you are wrong. I can't stand staying indoors all day long, everyday but no I won't go shopping and buy things with a baby. We can go out to the park, the zoo, and yes to walk around in a store but never shop at the store.

What are some things you get delivered to your house?

Recall Alert: Little Tikes Toddler Snug'n Secure Swings

Recall Alert: Little Tikes Toddler Snug'n Secure Swings

Little Tikes Swing Recall

Little Tikes pink 2-in-1 Snug'n Secure toddler swings are not so secure.
The toy company is voluntarily recalling 540,000 of the swings due to a fall hazard. The company announced the recall of the pink toddler swings after 140 reports of the swing breaking, according to the U.S. Product Safety Commission.
The name "Snug'n Secure" may sound safe, but reports describe the toy's plastic seat cracking, putting kids in danger of falling while swinging. There have been 39 reports of kids injured by the swings, with bruises, cuts, bumped heads, and even two broken arms.
Parents may have bought these swings at Walmart, Toys "R" Us, or online between November 2009 and May 2014. To determine whether your swing is safe, check the model number stamped on the back of the seat. The recall only affects pink 2-in-1 Snug'n Secure swings with the model number 615573.
See the CPSC recall announcement or go to Little Tikes recall website for the entire list of manufacturing date codes included in the recall.
If you have one of these swings at home, stop using it right away. A full refund is not being offered, but you can contact the company for credit towards another Little Tikes brand product.

Toy Box? Yes or No?

So my sons toys are everywhere, I mean every part of the house has a piece of his toy there. So what do you do, where do you put all his toys?

I was thinking of maybe getting a toy box. What do you think? Is it worth it? Do you have one? Where do you put your kid's toys?

I found some at Things Remembered and you can get it customized with your child's name on there. What do you think? Do you like it?

Key Ingredients
Mineral Oil - Effectively removes makeup from skin’s surface.
Beeswax - A moisturizer known to prevent moisture from leaving the skin.

What is cold cream for faces?
Cold cream has been around for centuries but sad to say I am just discovering about them. It is the ultimate all-in-one cleanser, makeup remover and moisturizer (which my skin has been looking for during this dry season). "Cold" is simply a reference to the cooling sensation it causes after being applied.

I love how this product feels on my dry skin. After I wash my face with Pond's my skin still feels so soft. This cleanser does not dry out my skin. Does not remove all the good oils from my skin.

This is the wet washcloth after using Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser.

As you can see it has removed all of my makeup; including my eye makeup. I am so glad I was able to receive this free sample of Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser from PinchMe. I for sure will have to go purchase more. Price ranges from $7 to $10. You can find them at Target, CVS, Walgreen and Walmart.

Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser will be replacing my night time cleanser.

Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Bread

Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Bread

Ingredients
     For the Oatmeal Bake

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (I used crunchy but you can use creamy too)
  • 2 - 4 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2.2 cups quick oats
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • .2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter chips (I didn't use this because I used the crunchy peanut butter)
     For the Syrup
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup (I used less then 1/4 Cup)
  • 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly spray an 8x8 (I used 6x11) inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together peanut better, honey, bananas and eggs. Carefully whisk in milk.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together oats, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Stir in wet ingredients. Stir in peanut butter chips.
  4. Pour batter into prepared dish. Bake for 20 - 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  5. Remove to a wire rack to cool for about 10 minutes
  6. While oatmeal bake is cooling, prepare peanut butter maple syrup by whisking together peanut butter and syrup until combined
  7. Cut oatmeal bake into pieces and drizzle syrup over the top and decorate with fresh cut bananas (optional)
