UPPAbaby Vista 2017 Stroller Review

UPPAbaby Vista 2017 Stroller Review

UPPAbaby Vista is one of the popular strollers in today’s market. Parents love its capability to grow with the family from birth to toddler years and the ability to also grow as your family grows by adding more children and turning from a single stroller to a double stroller. It goes from bassinet mode to a travel system mode to a single stroller mode and finally to a double mode with an addition of a second seat. You can even add a stroller board for an older child! You will never need another stroller.
In 2015 the stroller was updated, many features including the second seat, frame, basket size, fold, and a bassinet.
In 2017 there have been only a few minor updates and new colors. The frame is a little narrower now, which is great when you are on the go and need to get threw smaller areas. The wheels are solid polyurethane, the sunshade is made out of better fabric and locks in place when you slide it down, and there is also an option of genuine leather handle bar and genuine leather bumper bar. Because of all the little tweaks, the weight went down from 27.5 lbs to 26 lbs. This is great for us moms.  The 2017 version also features a roomy reversible seat, huge canopy with a pop-out  SPF 50+ sunvisor, all-terrain tires, huge basket, adjustable handle bar, adjustable leg rest, intuitive one-step fold, deep one-hand recline, and all-wheel suspension.
It’s a no brainer the UPPAbaby Vista is the stroller that will fit every and any family. It is the most sensible stroller that can be useful to an infant as well as a toddler. It has the perfect bassinet which you wouldn’t have to worry about what to do with your infant and you can pair it with the UPPAbaby MESA car seat.
UPPAbaby Vista come in multiple colors and retails about $839 depending on the color you select. It includes the bassinet, bumper bar, rain cover, bug cover and bassinet bug cover.

Some of the features that I like about the UPPAbaby  strollers are

  • the large canopy which has a SPF 50+ pop-out sunvisor.
  • The large peekaboo window made out of dark mesh with a magnetic closure. The mesh window provides shade and a better air circulation.
  • It has an adjustable handle bar. Which is perfect for tall and short couples and etc who need to use the stroller.
  • UPPAbaby also has a huge basket, which is my favorite part of the stroller. This means no caring of heavy bags and ets. The basket can hold up to 30 lbs!

Where to buy

You can get UPPAbaby Vista 2017 in one of the eight beautiful colors for around $879 (free shipping).  It comes with a bunch of accessories like bug net, rain cover, bumper bar, matching bassinet, and bassinet bug net.

Massive Amount of Hot Dogs Recalled Because They May Contain Bone Fragments

Check out the hot dogs in your freezer before you eat them—seven million pounds of frankfurters are subject to a recall after bone fragments were found.
If your kiddo's summer fav food is hot dogs like my brood, listen up!
Bronx-based Marathon Enterprises Inc. is recalling a whopping 7,196,084 pounds of hot dogs because they may contain extraneous material like bone fragments. Shudder. The recall was initiated after one person received a minor oral injury while consuming one of the company's frankfurters.
According to the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), this high-health risk recall includes beef and pork hot dog and sausage products made between March 17 and July 4, 2017.

Matching with your little girl

Well, not sure if everyone knows yet but I for sure look super pregnant, I will be having a baby girl in November. Well….. I am totally not the girly type… I’m going to need a lot of help trying to figure out how to dress my baby girl. I found some really cute shirts that I can wear that will match and it’s not super girlie which I like…

Recall Alert: Chicken Nuggets for Toddlers

Chicken Nuggets for Toddlers Recalled After Customers Found Bones in Them

Yummy Bites Recall

Overhill Farms is recalling more than 54,630 pounds of chicken bites made for toddlers due to reports of bone in the nuggets.

After customers found bone in their chicken bites, Overhill Farms has recalled more than 54,630 pounds of frozen chicken products made for toddlers.
There haven't been any reports of injuries or anyone getting sick from the recalled chicken, but the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) classified the toddler food as a "high" health risk.
The recall affects 3-oz. boxes of Yummy Spoonfuls (including the brand's chicken carrot bites, chicken sweet potato bites, and chicken broccoli bites), bulk cases of chicken and vegetable patties (including chicken patties with broccoli, patties with cauliflower, and with sweet potato, quinoa, and peas).
All the recalled products have establishment numbers inside the USDA mark of inspection. Packages with “P2824,” “P6009” or “P44058” are recalled. For a full list of affected products and expiration dates, check the FSIS recall notice.
If you have some of these bites in your freezer, don't eat them. FSIS urges consumers to throw the chicken away or return them to the place of purchase. Customers can also contact Overhill Farms at (844)-986-6948 with any other questions.

Recall Alert: Britax Car Seat

Britax Car Seat Recall: Chest Clip Choking Hazard

Britax car seat clip recall
The chest clip on some Britax car seats can break and pose a choking hazard. The company is recalling more than 200,000 of its B-Safe seats' clips for this reason.

The chest clip on some Britax car seats may pose a choking hazard for young children. For this reason, the company has issued a recall of dozens of models of its B-Safe car seats' clips, including more than 200,000 affected seats in total.
Recalled clips include the ones on B-Safe 35, B-Safe 35 Elite, BOB B-Safe 35 infant seats, and accompanying travel systems, all manufactured between November 2015 and May 2017. The full list of model numbers can be found on the company's recall site.
Britax has a fix: a kit to replace the dangerous chest clip. Customers who registered their carseats with Britax previously will automatically be sent the kit but if you have an unregistered affected car seat, you can contact Britax to get the safe clip. Either call 1-833-474-7016 or email Stroller.Recall@britax.com.
The replacement clip is more durable and less likely to come apart, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recall report. Once you get your replacement kit, the old hazardous clip will have "ABS" printed on it, while the new safe clip will have "PC."

Recall Alert: Graco Is Recalling More than 25,000 Car Seats

Graco Is Recalling More than 25,000 Car Seats

The company has issued a recall for 25,494 Graco My Ride 65 convertible child car seats because of a risk of injury to children using them.

If you have a Graco car seat, you'll want to hear this news: The company has issued a recall for its Graco My Ride 65 line of convertible car seats, which includes eight models and 25,494 total units.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the problem is that the child seat webbing may not adequately restrain a child in the event of a crash. Therefore, the seats do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
The affected Graco models include: 1871689, 1908152, 1813074, 1872691, 1853478, 1877535, 1813015, and 1794334. All were manufactured between May and August 2014 and have a webbing code tag of 2014/06. (Check the tag sewn onto the straps on the back of the seat.)
If you own one of these recalled seats, contact Graco consumer services at 1-800-345-4109 to order a free replacement kit. If you have further questions about the recall, you can call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236.
Although this recall includes a large number of popular car seats, there is some good news: No injuries have been reported due to the defect.

Recall Alert: Hobby Lobby Light-Up Spinners

Hobby Lobby Light-Up Spinners

Because of a choking risk with the batteries, the company has recalled two holiday-themed light-up spinners. Get the details here.

Hobby Lobby Spinner Recall

Hobby Lobby has recalled two holiday battery-powered, light-up spinner toys due to a choking and ingestion hazard. The Easter and 4th of July toys have a detachable battery cover; children could remove the cover and swallow the batteries inside, or even choke on the small parts.
If you might have one at home, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says you should take it away from kids immediately.
According to the CPSC recall report, the Easter-themed toys were sold in blue with a pink bunny on the dome and yellow with a yellow-and-orange chicken on the dome. The July 4th spinners are red with white stars painted on the blue dome. “Hobby Lobby” and item number 9130033 or 9130082 is printed on the spinner handle.
The company has received one report of a toddler who swallowed the battery, but luckily, the child wasn't seriously harmed.
Customers could have purchased the recalled toys between February 2017 and April 2017 at Hobby Lobby and Mardel stores. You can return the light-up spinners to a Hobby Lobby or Mardel store for a refund (with receipt) or store credit (without receipt).

Recall Alert: Child Safety Gates Recalled for Strangulation Hazard

Child Safety Gates Recalled for Strangulation Hazard

Madison Mill is recalling its foldaway expandable baby gates because they are ineffective and pose a strangulation danger for young children.

Baby Gate Recall

Madison Mill is recalling two versions of its foldaway expandable safety gates for two dangerous reasons. The gates put kids at risk of being strangled and don't block off gated areas successfully.
There’s potential for a child’s neck to be trapped in the top of the gate, leading to strangulation. Kids can also crawl under the gate and access whatever parents had been trying to block off, whether it’s a bathroom or a staircase.
The recall affects two products: Madison Mill 23 Foldaway Gate (which expands to 3 feet) and Madison Mill Foldaway 25 Gate (which expands to 5 feet).
According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, parents and caregivers should stop using the gates immediately.
The folding gates could have been purchased at Do It Best stores and other independent hardware stores between January 2013 and May 2017. You can contact Madison Mill at 877-220-4705 or get more information from the company’s recall posting.
